Some personal notes

There are lots of photos from the mid to late 1970's, throughout the '80's, and a great deal of lighting design shots in the '90's. Also many historic photos of the Dead Scene, not just the band and stage. What started out as a fun endeavor that came directly out of Jim's professional photography career, and being a Deadhead, has turned into a lifelong project to document this extraordinary cultural phenomena.
Over time, a large volume of this work was shot specifically for Candace Brightman, long time lighting & set designer for the Grateful Dead.
Candace has her own company, Animated Architecture , and continues doing a beautiful job lighting & designing Phil & Friends, Other Ones & The Dead shows, as well as other lighting/design projects such as the Global Village at the '96 Olympics

My apologies to all those who have requested archived show photos recently.s
I am always extremely busy with assignment photography.
Unfortunately that has to come first and foremost. There is no staff here, just me..
If it wasn't for my career in photography having allowed me to be on the road,
and which finances all the costs involved, this, and future collections never will exist.
Over time, I'm researching, editing, scanning & making pages of shows not yet on my site.

Alright, here's the deal with monitor resolution: All these page were designed, and images digitized, at 1024x768 monitor settings. It has come to my attention that images may appear blurred when you view in 800x600. If your using 800x600, you will find a dramatic improvement in the image quality at 1024x768. So please use that setting if your able.

Are you, or does anyone know, a DeadHead living in the New Haven area, who is a student
of photography/graphic/web design, who might like to intern part time this on project?
I would appreciate some help. There is no pay involved, this is an intern position only.

My love to all who have been there with me on this trip, to all my friends,
old and new, those I have yet to meet, and to all who are gone from this earth ..
To everyone who loves the Grateful Dead
