The Grateful Dead in Concert at The New Haven Coliseum - 17 January 1979

This is the makeup show for the cancelled November gig when everyone was already in their seats.
Bobby came onstage after we'd been waiting for some time and told us "Jerry's real sick and in the hospital"
John Scher chimed in with "they will be back" as soon as Jerry's well.
I started taping when I saw Jimmy Koplik come on stage that night with Bob and Billy. You can hear the announcement as the first track on the Archive link below. I've heard that Bobby wanted to go ahead and play anyway, but the consensus by everyone else was that it was a bad idea. So they went for the cancelation insurance to cover costs and rescheduled for this date.
